His mum tries to ensure he is safe and leaves things of comfort for him, while she struggles as parents do, with the reality that their child has left and is living a life she wouldn't choose for him.

Roy goes through many struggles, life in a gang, being beaten up, harassed and eventually called out for stealing, though he does eventually find love through a girl he meets and achieves life success with the help of a social worker he encounters on the beach when he tries to steal her credit card.

I hope you enjoy the story, it can be confronting, though its purpose is to not only entertain, but show you that although life can be challenging, there is hope.
