I usually like to read books based on the same genre as I am writing at the time, though it depends on what I am doing and whether I have the time to read. These are some of the books I have read recently which I highly recommend. Though I love other Aussie authors like Jane Harper, Chris Hammer, I am trying to also support other indie authors.
A true romantic, Phillipa N Clarke has the knack of bringing life to her stories as you immerse yourself with each character and scene.
Lest We Forgive is the first in the Liz Moorland series which Phillipa has written. A great crime novel, it amazes me how she turns her hand to various genre and does well at each.
Pamela Cook was a great mentor to me when I first started writing, after attending her writing course. Cross my heart tells a warm story of what really matters in life.
