About Cate

Cate began her career in Education before venturing into various roles in management outside the industry. 

In addition to her author events, Cate is an engaging speaker at Business Networking Events, where modern themes are at the forefront.

Cate began writing as a hobby when she was young, creating a small children's book about a Tricycle which she gave her family. Poetry then became the theme of her writing, and she published her first book 'Reflections" in 2002.

When the GFC hit, Cate lost her role in senior management and chose to become a Technical writer, finding clients loved her clear, plan language appealed to the reader. Cate went on to write articles for travel magazines and published another poetry book 'Life Happens.' 

It was in 2011, after a move to  the South coast of NSW,  that she was encouraged to write more stories by a close neighbour, Margaret McAlister. Cate worked on a few plots before finallying publishing her first book "Seven Signs", followed by Bass Point Boys in 2019.

Cate supports young writers and advocates for a just a fair society. She abhors bullying of any child or adult and cruelty to animals and those without a voice.

Well known for her role in advocating for women in business and breaking the glass ceiling, Cate initiated the Women in Project Management networking events, working alongside PMI to bring women to the forefront of this male dominated industry.
